Meet the pack!

We’re Dani and Zed, a married team with a shared love for dogs and the humans who love them. We each bring over a decade of hands-on experience working with dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. We’ve managed busy dog daycares, worked one-on-one with families, and supported dogs through everything from basic manners to more complex behavioral challenges. We know that real life with dogs is rarely perfect, and that’s exactly where our work begins.

Zed’s (CPDT & Canine Good Citizen Evaluator Certified) background in psychology and education shapes a thoughtful, patient approach to training, while Dani’s years in daycare management have built a deep understanding of group dynamics and individual needs. Our own dogs have taught us just as much as our professional experience, from navigating reactivity and resource guarding to celebrating the joy of lifelong companionship. These experiences allow us to relate to our clients on a very real level, because we’ve been there too.

Now based in Oceanside, California, we’re excited to serve our community through Village Canine Collective. Our training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement, focusing on trust, communication, and strengthening the bond between dogs and their people. Our goal is simple: to help you and your dog live happier, more connected lives together.
